Adding the reserved storage device in the destination server
To ensure that you can migrate partitions that are capable of remote restart, you must add the reserved storage device that is mapped to the partition on the source server to the reserved storage pool in the destination server.
When you want to assign a reserved storage device to the storage pool, you must consider the size of the storage device that is required. The size is based on several configuration attributes. You can run the lsrsdevsize command from the HMC command line to determine the size of the storage device that is required for the partitions that you plan on using on your system.
The HMC Classic interface is not supported in Hardware Management Console (HMC) Version 8.7.0, or later. The functions that were previously available in the HMC Classic interface are now available in the HMC Enhanced+ interface.
