Use this MAP to resolve the following problem: Missing
remote controller (SRN nnnn - 9076)
An adapter attached in a multi-initiator
and high availability configuration was not discovered in the allotted
time. Determine which of the following items is the cause of your
specific error and take the appropriate actions listed. If this action
does not correct the error, contact your hardware service provider.
The possible causes are:
- An attached adapter for the configuration is not installed or
is not powered on. Some adapters are required to be part of a high
availability RAID configuration. Verify this requirement in the
feature comparison tables for PCIe and PCI-X cards. Ensure that
both adapters are properly installed and powered on.
- If the configuration is a high availability single-system RAID
configuration, both adapters might not be in the same partition.
Ensure that both adapters are assigned to the same partition.
- An attached adapter does not support the desired configuration.
See SAS RAID configurations to
determine the allowable configurations. Then correct the configuration.
If correcting the configuration does not resolve the error, contact
your hardware service provider.
- An attached adapter for the configuration failed. Take action
on the other errors that have occurred at the same time as this error.
- Adapter microcode levels are not up to date or are not at the
same level of supported function. Ensure that the microcode for both
adapters is at the latest level.
Note: The adapter that is logging this error will run in a performance
degraded mode, without caching, until the problem is resolved.
When
the problem is resolved, see the removal and replacement procedures
topic for the system unit on which you are working and do the "Verifying
the repair" procedure.
