managing processor, memory, networking, and storage resources among
the logical partitions on the system.

You can use the Integrated Virtualization Manager to
view and to modify the properties that apply to your managed system
in general.
Managing the shared memory pool by using the Integrated Virtualization Manager
If the managed system supports the PowerVM Active Memory Sharing technology
for using shared memory, you can use the Integrated Virtualization Manager to manage shared
memory. You can increase or decrease the amount of physical memory
assigned to the shared memory pool. You can also manage the paging
space devices for the shared memory pool.
Managing system plans
You can create, view, import, export, deploy, and delete system
plans on the Integrated Virtualization Manager.
Updating the Integrated Virtualization Manager
You can update the code level of the management partition
and the Virtual I/O Server's
firmware microcode using the Integrated Virtualization Manager.
