Replacing the model 8203-E4A, 8261-E4S, 9407-M15, or 9408-M25 Redundant Array of Independent Disks enablement card

If you removed the Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) enablement card as a part of another procedure, you might need to replace the card. Use the procedure in this section to perform this task.

You must have already completed the procedure Removing the model 8203-E4A, 8261-E4S, 9407-M15, or 9408-M25 Redundant Array of Independent Disks enablement card.

To replace a RAID enablement card, complete the following steps:

  1. Align the RAID enablement card with the slot in the system.
  2. Slide the RAID enablement card fully into the system until the tab (A) locks into place.

  3. Replace the service access cover:
  4. If you are working on a rack-mounted system unit, place the system in the operating position. See Placing a rack-mounted model 8203-E4A, 8204-E8A, 8261-E4S9407-M15, 9408-M25, or 9409-M50 , or 8261-E4Sin the operating position.
  5. Start the system. For instructions, see Starting a system or logical partition.
  6. Verify that the new resource is functional. For instructions, see Hardware Service Manager–Verify.
