Replace the 7047-185 or 7037-A50 voltage regulator module

You might need to replace the voltage regulator module. Use the procedure in this section to perform this task.

1. Remove the voltage regulator module from its antistatic package.
2. Push the connector tabs A out to the unlocked position.
3. Carefully grasp the voltage regulator module along two edges and align it with the connector.
4. Insert the voltage regulator module into the connector.
5. Secure the voltage regulator module by pushing in the connector tabs B.

6. Replace the system unit air baffle. Refer to Replace the model 7047-185 or 7037-A50 system unit air baffle.
7. Replace the system access cover. Refer to Remove and replace model 7047-185 or 7037-A50 covers and doors.
8. If you have a rack-mounted system, place it in the operating position. Refer to Place the rack-mounted model 7047-185 or 7037-A50 in the operating position.
9. Restore power to the system by reconnecting the system power cables.
10. Start the system or logical partition.
11. Verify the installed part.
