Initiating a dump

A dump is a collection of data that is collected and stored on the system to help diagnose problems on the system. To initiate a dump, complete the following steps:
Note: Resource dump and system dump are available only when the system is powered on.
  1. Navigate to Logs > Dumps.
  2. Select a dump type from the drop-down menu.
    • BMC dump (non-disruptive): A single dump of the eBMC.
    • Resource dump:
    • System dump (disruptive):
  3. Click Initiate Dump.

Viewing available dumps on the system

You can view all available dumps on the eBMC in the table. You can search for a dump by name, specify a date range, and apply filters (dump type) to narrow down your search. You can download or delete each dump individually or you can select multiple dumps to delete.
