Disabling data collection
The Performance dashboard function captures data only for the servers for which you enabled data collection. However, you can disable data collection if you no longer need Performance dashboard information for that server.
About this task
- From the Performance dashboard:
- In the HMC dashboard home page, click Performance dashboard in the left navigation pane. The Systems page is displayed.
- Select a system from the available list and click Launch.
- In the Performance dashboard, click System dashboard tab from the left navigation pane.
- In the System dashboard page, if the Data collection icon is in on state, then click the icon next to Data collection icon to disable the data collection for the selected system.
- From the HMC dashboard:
- In the navigation pane, click System resources.
- Click Systems. The Systems page is displayed.
- Click Usage.
- If the Data collection icon is in an enabled state for any particular system, under Data collection column, click Off. The Data collection icon then gets disabled for that particular system.
- From the HMC dashboard:
- In the navigation pane, click System resources.
- Click Systems. The Systems page is displayed.
- Select one or more systems for which you want to disable the data collection.
- Click . The Performance monitoring settings page opens.
- Select one or more systems from the list to disable the Data collection by
clicking on the toggle button. You can also disable Data collection for all the
systems by clicking All off tab.Important: In the Performance monitoring settings page, you can not only disable the Data collection for one or more systems, you can also set the Performance data storage time duration.The maximum time duration that you can set for the Performance data storage is 366 days.
