Viewing settings for Capacity on Demand resources

You can use the Hardware Management Console (HMC) to view Capacity on Demand (CoD) settings.

About this task

You can see the number of processor cores or memory units that you have, how many are active, and how many are available for activation by using CoD with these settings. You can also view information about your Elastic CoD, Trial CoD, and Mobile CoD processor cores and memory units.

To view the capacity settings for processor cores or memory by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC) version 10.3.1060.0, or later, complete the following steps:
  1. In the navigation pane, click System resources > Systems.
  2. Click the system name. The System settings page is displayed.
  3. Go to CoD resources task to view the processor core and memory settings.
To view the capacity settings for processor cores or memory by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC) version 10.3.1050, or earlier, complete the following steps:
  1. In the navigation pane, click System resources > Systems.
  2. Click the system name. The System settings page is displayed.
  3. Go to CoD functions > Capacity on demand memory > View memory settings task to view the memory settings. Otherwise, select CoD functions > Capacity on demand processor > View processor settings task to view the processor core settings
