Line and column

Use a line and column visualization to highlight relationships between multiple data series by combining bars and lines with one visualization.

For example, this line and column visualization shows the relationship between course cost and expense totals by department.

You can also create a combination chart with stacked columns using the line and column chart.
A stacked line and column chart
To create a combination stacked column chart, first create a line and column visualization and then follow these steps:
  1. In Edit mode, select the line and column visualization that you just created and go to Fields.
  2. Set the Column color field.

  3. Go to Properties and under Visualizations, expand the Chart section.
  4. Turn on the Display as stacked chart property to display the chart as a combination stacked column chart.
    Note: The Display as stacked chart property displays only when the Column color field is set.
