Baseline forecasts
A baseline forecast is a Planning Analytics Workspace asset that administrators and modelers can create and share with other users in your organization.
A baseline forecast is unique from an ad-hoc forecast that you can perform on a view. A baseline forecast is saved as an asset that is available to other Planning Analytics Workspace users on both the Data and Models page and the Reports and Analysis page. Baseline forecasts also allow forecasting on up to 8,000 rows, which is much more than an ad-hoc forecast can accommodate. You can use an external scheduler to schedule baseline forecasts.
Administrators, modelers, and analysts with the appropriate permissions can run a baseline forecast at any time and use the forecast to improve the planning process. Consumers cannot run baseline forecasts.
