Import users to Planning Analytics Workspace from the TM1 authentication database (Local only)

Administrators can now quickly import users from the TM1 database that is used for authentication into Planning Analytics Workspace.

You need to have a TM1 authentication database to use this feature. The database that is used for authentication is identified by the TM1 database authentication icon icon. The icon is displayed only on Planning Analytics Administration Local and only when Planning Analytics Workspace is configured to authenticate against a specific Planning Analytics database.

Important: For the authentication database to be correctly identified in Planning Analytics Administration, the TM1LoginServerURL configuration parameter for Planning Analytics Workspace Local must be specified with an IP address and port. The IP address must match the address that is specified by the IPAddressV4 parameter in your tm1s.cfg file. The port number must match the port that is specified by the HttpPortNumber parameter in your tm1s.cfg file.

TM1LoginServerURL=https://IPAddressV4_from_tm1s.cfg:HttpPortNumber_from_tm1s.cfg

If you have multiple tenants (environments), each tenant must be configured so that the authentication database is available from each tenant.

To import users from the TM1 authentication database, follow these steps:
  1. In Planning Analytics Administration, go to Users and Groups.
  2. On the Users tab, select the role and user that you want to import from the TM1 authentication database.
  3. Click Import.
Note: You can import only users, not user groups.
