Understanding IBM Planning Analytics Local licensing

Planning Analytics on-premise licensing is based on one or both of two charge metrics.

• Processor Value Unit (PVU) for capacity-based licenses
• Authorized Users for user-based licenses

PVU totals are tracked using the IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT).

This section describes how to determine the number of authorized users in a Planning Analytics Local environment. An authorized user is a user that is granted access to one or more Planning Analytics databases. Each authorized user can access any number of Planning Analytics databases at the same time, but counts as only a single authorized user.
