Update your model with database objects from a Git repository

You can update your database with objects from a Git repository directly from the Databases tree on a modeling workbench.

About this task

You can't select object categories or individual objects when you update your model with database objects from a Git repository.

Procedure

  1. Open the Databases tree on a modeling workbench.
  2. Click the Action icon Action icon on the database that you want to update with objects from a repository.
  3. Click Update model from repository.
  4. Enter Authentication information. This information is stored only for the duration of the current web session.
    1. Enter the SSH URL for the repository.
    2. Enter your Public key for the repository.
    3. Enter your Private key for the repository.
    4. Enter the Passphrase for your private key. If there is no passphrase associated with your private key, leave the Passphrase option empty.
    5. Click Authenticate.
  5. Select the repository branch that contains the objects you want to use to update your model, then click Update.

    An Update plan shows you object categories and individual objects that will be updated on the database. You can review the plan, but you cannot modify it. For each object, an action in parentheses indicates how the object will be managed on the database.

  6. Click Execute.
