Planning Analytics object security
As the Planning Analytics administrator, you can control access to objects by assigning specific levels of object security to groups.
Suppose you have a group named Executives in your Planning Analytics database. You want these executives to review the company budget summary data, which is stored in the BudSummary cube in your database. You can use Planning Analytics to assign the Executives group Read privileges to the BudSummary cube.
You set Planning Analytics access control the same way for any of the products in the Planning Analytics suite. For example, if users in the Executives group have Read access to the BudSummary cube when they run Planning Analytics Workspace, they also have Read access to that cube when they use Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel.
To learn more about the procedures that you use to set security for Planning Analytics objects, see the TM1 for Developers documentation.
