Create a control process

You must create control processes using the procedure described here. If you attempt to create a control dimension from the Processes node on a database, you receive a validation error.

1. Open a Modeling workbench.
2. In the Databases tree, expand the database where you want to create the control process.
3. Right-click the Control Objects node, then click Create control process.
4. Enter a Control process name.

   The leading } character is already in place.

   The prefix }Drill_ is reserved. You cannot create a control process name that starts with this prefix.

5. Click Create to create the new control process.

   After you create the control process, you can add a data source, set variables, define parameters, and create scripts as you would for a regular process.
