Users and groups security overview

An IBM® Planning Analytics database manages security by organizing users into groups. manages security by organizing users into groups.

has two major types of user groups:

Administrative Groups

Includes only the predefined groups of ADMIN, DataAdmin, SecurityAdmin, and OperationsAdmin. For more information, see Administrative groups and authority.

User Groups

Includes all user-created groups, which typically contain non-administrative Planning Analytics users.

Users with the Modeler or Administrator role in Planning Analytics Workspace can use the Users and groups page in the modeling workbench. For more information, see Object security.
