Create users in a Planning Analytics Local database

You can create users in a Planning Analytics Local database using the Users and groups editor.

The user is added to the Planning Analytics Local database (TM1 server) only, not to IBM® Planning Analytics Workspace. If you want to use the user for authentication, the user must also exist in the IBM Planning Analytics Workspace.

Procedure

  1. In a modeling workbench, right-click a database in the Databases tree, and then click Manage users and groups.
  2. In the Users and groups editor, click the Create new user icon Create new user icon, as shown in the following image:

  3. In the Create new user dialog box, type the user name and password, and click Add.

    The new user name appears at the end of the list of existing users.

    Note: To manage the users in the database, right-click the user name and click any of the menu options, such as Remove user(s) or Change password.

Results

The user is added to the Planning Analytics Local database.
