IBM TM1 functions

You can add formulas that use IBM® Cognos® functions to reports. You can also convert Exploration Views that use TM1® data to formulas. For advanced analysis, you can create reports that use formulas to populate the cells of a worksheet.

For information about formulas in IBM Cognos Analytics reports, see Create a Custom Report.

It's important to note that database names are case sensitive in TM1 Database 12. This is a change from the Planning Analytics v11 database.

The main impact is to Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel reports and websheets, where the name of the database is referenced in Planning Analytics worksheet functions. Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel reports must ensure to use the exact case when referencing a TM1 Database 12 database name.

While TM1 Database 12 database names are case-sensitive, Planning Analytics Administration does not allow databases that have the same name with different cases. Renaming databases is not possible, you must delete and recreate if you need to rename a database.
