View properties and attributes in a set
You can view any defined properties and attributes for members in the set editor.
For example, you can view properties such as:
- Weight
- The weight property controls how a child member rolls up to its immediate parent, whether that child is also a parent of another consolidation or a leaf member. Top level consolidations do not have a weighting.
- Level
- Show the level of the member in the hierarchy.
- Type
- See whether a member is consolidated or simple (leaf).
- Index
- The display order of members in a dimension.
- Name
- The member ID.
Note: Attributes in the set editor can help you select members when creating a set but they do not
automatically display in the view. To display attributes in a view, see Show member attributes in the cube view.
Procedure
-
In the set editor, click Show attributes.
- Select attributes and properties in the Attributes and properties
panel to add them to the Selected panel. The order in which you select attributes and properties determines the column order in the set editor. Scroll over the selected attributes and properties and use the arrows to change the order.
- Click Apply.
In the Current set, you can sort attributes and properties with the Sort icon. The Hierarchize sort option reverts any sorting you applied to the members.
