Set book properties

You can set properties to achieve a consistent look for a book. Select the theme, background color, layout, tab styling, and the synchronization scope for a book.

Procedure

  1. In Edit mode, click the Properties icon.
  2. In General, you can set the following properties:
    1. Under Color and theme, you can select the Visual theme and Background color for the book.
      In this section, you can also select a background color for each individual tab or set a default background color for all tabs.
    2. Under Tabs labels, decide whether you want to Show tabs in preview. To hide tabs, turn off the Show tabs in preview option. In the Individual tab styling section, you can rename tabs, select tab title and background color, and add icons next to tab titles.
      Tab titles are always visible when you are in Edit mode, so to see what the dashboard looks like, disable Edit mode. You can free up space in the book by hiding tab titles.
      Tip: If you hide the tab titles, add navigation buttons to your view so that you can move between tabs when the tabs aren't visible in preview. To find out more, see Action Buttons.

  3. In Synchronization, select the level of synchronization by setting Synchronization scope to either Book or Sheet.
