Enable or disable item border in consumption mode

You can enable or disable borders around items (widgets, visualizations, and explorations) with the Show selected border in preview property.

When the Show selected border in preview property is enabled for an item, a border displays around the item when it is selected in consumption mode.

You can turn the Show selected border in preview property on or off for each item individually. By default, it is enabled for dynamic items like visualizations and explorations. For all other items (widgets such as Text, Image, Webpage, and Shapes) the property is disabled.
Note: The Line shape widget does not have a rectangle box around it when selected in Edit mode.

  2. Click the Properties icon .
  3. Under the General tab, go to Appearance.
