Starting watsonx AI jobs from the task pane

You can now start watsonx AI jobs from the metadata tree in the Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel task pane.

Starting watsonx AI jobs from Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel allows for a more streamlined workflow.

To start watsonx AI jobs from the task pane, complete the following:
  1. Click the Show and hide Show control objects icon icon in the task pane.
  2. Click the checkbox beside Show AI jobs. A member named AI jobs appears at the end of the metadata tree.
  3. Click AI Jobs to expand the list of available watsonx AI jobs.
  4. Right-click on the AI job you want to run and then click Run Job.

    The status window appears, showing the status of the job as it progresses. Once completed, the status window states if the AI job completed or failed.
