Manage an application

You can modify virtually any component of an application. You can add, remove, or reorder sections and assets in an application. You can also open or close the entire application, modify group assignments, and modify announcements.

You must have the required permissions to edit or manage an application. A user with the Full control permission becomes the application owner, and can grant permissions for this application to other users.

Important: When you perform any action that affects asset or group security for an application you must explicitly refresh security by clicking Actions, then Refresh Permissions. Actions that require an explicit security refresh include:
  • Adding an asset to a section
  • Removing an asset from a section
  • Adding a user group to a section
  • Removing a user group from a section
  • Adding a co-owner with full access to an application
  • Removing a co-owner with full access to an application

Edit an application

  1. From the Home menu Home menu, click Applications and Plans.
  2. On the Applications and Plans page, click the Action button Action button for the application you want to edit.
  3. Click Edit. You can now:
    • Edit application details

      Under Application actions, click Edit. You can edit application details such as name and description, upload an image, and add or remove co-owners.

    • Open or close an application

      Click the Application status option to toggle the status of the application.

    • Add a section

      Click Add a section, then define the section as described in Define an application and assign co-owners.

    • Edit a section

      Click the Edit section icon on the section you want to modify. You can modify the section details such as the section name or description, add, remove, or reorder assets for a section, or add or remove contributors.

    • Change the order of sections in an application

      Click the section handle and drag the section to a new position.

    • Delete a section

      Click the Delete section icon for the section you want to remove from the application, then confirm the deletion.

    • Modify announcements

      Click the Announcements tab to create or delete an announcement.

Manage permissions for users in an application

You can manage permissions for an individual user after you create the application.

  1. From the Home menu Home menu, click Applications and Plans.
  2. On the Applications and Plans page, click the Action button Action button for the application that you want to set permissions for.
  3. Click Set Permissions.
  4. In the Permission column, set the permission for an individual user. When you assign Full control permission to a user, the user is an application approver and has full control over the application.
  5. Click Save.
