Updated Universal Report converter features
Learn about the new Universal Reports converter features in IBM® Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel.
Properties Parametrization
The Active Display (Alias) and expand aboves properties in the hidden range for Universal Reports are now parameterized.
With Active Display (Alias) and Expand aboves parameterized, you no longer need to use the concatenate formula to have individual control of each hierarchy's alias selection.
- Highlight the rows and columns of the sheet.
- Right-click and select Unhide. The cells that are included in the report properties and named ranges are now visible.
The following image shows the parametrization of the Active Display (Alias) and Expand aboves property:
With these properties parameterized, you can now change the Active Display (Alias) from the set editor.
- Right-click on a row or column for which you want to change the Active Display (Alias).
- On the IBM Planning Analytics menu, click Edit Set to open the set editor.
- In the Display Member ID menu, change the alias of the specified row or
column.
Hidden Range enhancement
You can now use the Show Format and Hide Format buttons in the ribbon to show and hide the hidden range in Universal Reports.
Additionally, the way that hidden ranges of Universal Reports are placed on a sheet has changed.
Each time a new Universal Report is generated on a sheet in Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel, the hidden range for that report is inserted at the A1 cell. The hidden range of each new Universal Report added to the sheet will be placed at the A1 cell, and the hidden range of the previous report shifts down.
This prevents the data in the hidden ranges from overlapping when there are multiple Universal Reports on the same sheet.
In addition, the hidden range is horizontally aligned with its corresponding Universal Report.
