Adding National Insurance Producer Registry configuration settings

You can configure access to the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) database from IBM® Producer Lifecycle and Credential Management.

Procedure

  1. Click System Operations > System Config Settings.
  2. On the NIPR tab, click the Edit icon.
  3. From the NIPR Config Indicator drop-down list, select Yes.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    Field Description
    NIPR Customer Number The customer number that is provided to you by NIPR.
    NIPR Customer PIN The customer PIN that is provided to you by NIPR.
    NIPR Customer ID The customer ID that is provided to you by NIPR.
    NIPR PDB URL The URL of the NIPR database.
    NIPR Batch Prefix The batch prefix that is provided to you by NIPR.
    NIPR Email Address The NIPR email address.
    Payment Account Identifier The bank account registered with NIPR for processing state appointments.
    Payment Type The payment type that is associated with the Payment Account Identifier field.
    NIPR FTP Server This is required to access the state appointment files from NIPR.
    NIPR FTP Username The user name used to log in to the NIPR FTP server.
    NIPR FTP Password The password used to log in to the NIPR FTP server.
    Inbound File Directory The name of the directory for inbound files.
    Outbound File Directory The name of the directory for outbound files.
    Alert Service URL (Host part) URL for alert service. Required to receive alerts from NIPR.
    Appointment Auto Back-Date Set this value to Yes to have Producer Lifecycle and Credential Management automatically back date appointments being sent to NIPR with the grace period allowed by the state. Set this value to No to have Producer Lifecycle and Credential Management send over appointments to be effective on the current system date.
    Subscription Name This is the name of the NIPR alert subscription.
  5. Click OK.
