Support for Microsoft Host Integration Server

IBM Personal Communications (32-bit) can be configured on a 64-bit Windows System to achieve SNA connectivity in the Microsoft Host Integration Server (HIS).

Note: 64-bit Personal Communications does not provide SNA connectivity support.

On 64-bit Windows System:

Personal Communications (32-bit) supports the following SNA client/server connection types with the Microsoft Host Integration Server (HIS) technology:

Personal Communications can provide SNA connectivity on 64-bit Windows System using HIS Client. Configure Personal Communications with the HIS Client that connects to a HIS Server for the SNA connectivity to the host.

The products on the Windows System should be installed in the following order for Personal Communications to interact with HIS and thus achieve SNA connectivity:

  1. HIS Client (64-bit)
  2. IBM Personal Communications (32-bit)
Note: The "Host Integration Server Client" should be installed first before the "IBM Personal Communications (32-bit)" is installed.
