Step 7: Create a recipient ID

In this step, you create a recipient ID.

About this task

This recipient ID will be added to a distribution list for the report. A recipient ID provides information about an individual or a generic location that is to receive the report, for example, a person's name, an address, a building, a printer destination, a SYSOUT class, or a USERID. You can define multiple recipient IDs for a report. However, for this tutorial, you will define only one recipient ID for yourself.

You can link the recipient ID to the set printer attributes. However, you will not do so because you already linked the report selection rule to the set of printer attributes.

To create a recipient ID:

Procedure

  1. From the Output Manager main menu, choose option A, Administrative Functions, and press Enter. The Administrative Functions panel is displayed.
  2. Choose option J, Recipient IDs, and press Enter.
A search panel is displayed. Press Enter to proceed to the Recipient IDs panel.
  3. Type ADD on the command line and press Enter.
The Recipient Details panel is displayed.
  4. In the Name field, type your name. This value can be up to 60 characters long.
  5. In the Userid field, type your TSO user ID. This ID can be up to eight characters long.
  6. In the Access Mask field, type * as an access mask for the recipient.
An access mask determines whether or not a user can change their Access ID during a session. To allow a user to change their Access ID, specify an Access ID with a wildcard.
  7. In the Copies field, accept the default value of 0. A zero value means that the report will be viewable online only. A hardcopy will not be printed.
  8. Leave all other fields blank. To learn about these fields, press F1 for online Help.
  9. Press F3. An exit confirmation window is displayed.
  10. Press Enter to save the recipient ID.
