The order of subselector rules on the Sub Selection Rules
panel is important. Subselector rules should be listed in specific-to-general
order. If a specific rule occurs after a generic rule, the more specific
rule will not be processed. Therefore, ensure that your most specific
subselector rules appear at the top of the list. When Output Manager scans the list
of subselector rules from top to bottom to find a match, it will evaluate
the more specific subselector rules first.
To rearrange the order of subselector rules in the Subselector
Rules list panel:
- From the Output Manager main
menu, choose option A, Administrative Functions, and press
Enter.
- From the Administrative Functions menu, choose option S,
Selector Rules, and press Enter.
- Specify search criteria, or leave the fields blank, and
press Enter.
The resulting list is filtered by your search
criteria.
- In the CMD column, type
SS
(Subselector
rules) next to the selector rule that contains the subselector rule
that you want to edit, and press Enter.
- Specify search criteria, or leave the fields blank, and
press Enter.
The resulting list is filtered by your search
criteria.

M
(Move)
next to the subselector rule that you want to move, and press Enter.
A message appears stating that the move operation is pending.

(After)
next to the subselector rule that you want to precede the rule you
are moving, and press Enter. The moved rule appears in the list after
the cursor.

Depending on how you set
your preferences, you may be prompted to type YES and
press Enter to save your changes.
