Validating and running migrated workflows in IBM Optim Test Data Management for z/OS

After you import a migrated workflow into IBM® Optim Test Data Management for z/OS, validate its configuration and run it to help ensure successful data processing.

Before you begin

Ensure that you successfully import the migrated workflow and that it appears in the Flow Builder canvas user interface (UI).

To validate and run a workflow:

Procedure

  1. From the navigation menu, click Workflow icon Workflow > Flow builder, then and click My flows.
  2. On the migrated job, click the three-dot menu and select Open in new tab.
  3. On each node in the flow, click the three-dot menu, select View details, and ensure the Source connection, Access definition, Subset, Masking, and Target database are properly configured.
In the access definition node, you can find any Optim relationships that are created and associated. For more details, see Defining data relationships. While in the transform definition node, you can view the details of predefined policies applied in respective columns.
  4. After validation, click Run Flow to start the job execution.

Results

The migrated workflow is validated and executed, and the data is exported to the specified target destination.
