Deprecation notice for Sterling Order Management System legacy platform

The deprecation for the Sterling™ Order Management System legacy platform was announced effective 16 December 2024. However, customers will continue to receive standard support and product fixes until the end of support 30 September 2026.

Why is it deprecated?

To enhance efficiency and accelerate the advancement of the next-generation platform, IBM® is deprecating the legacy platform. The shift to next-generation platform enables IBM to focus and target investments in a single next-generation platform, driving improved operational efficiency, faster rollout of enhancements, and quicker resolution of security issues. Deprecation schedule

Use the following schedule that indicates the stages of deprecation for Sterling Order Management System legacy platform:
Deprecation start date - 16 December 2024
Customers will continue to receive standard support and product fixes until the end of support date, 30 September 2026. However, no new features or enhancements will be introduced on the legacy platform.
Deadline for migration sign up - 30 September 2025
BY 30 September 2025, customers must confirm a migration slot by logging a case with IBM. If customers do not finalize a migration slot by this time, IBM will assign a migration schedule and notify customers through a support case by 6 October 2025. Customers must review and confirm the assigned migration slot.
End of support - 30 September 2026
After 30 September 2026, only critical severity 1 security fixes will be delivered. No new defect fixes will be delivered.
