You can copy a quote and create a new quote and a new opportunity for a new customer. For
example, you may want to copy an existing quote to create a new quote for a new customer. In such a
scenario, you can copy the quote along with the product information, and payment and shipment terms,
and then define the customer information to create a new quote and opportunity for a new
customer.
About this task
To create a copy of a quote from the Opportunity
Details screen:
Procedure

Log in to Sterling™ Field Sales.

From the application sidebar menu, click Opportunities.

The Opportunities home page is displayed. Expand the Search
Criteria panel and enter the appropriate search criteria.

Click Search. The search results display opportunities matching the
search criteria.
- If only one opportunity matches the search criteria, the Opportunity Details
screen is displayed.
- If multiple opportunities match the search criteria, the list of opportunities is
displayed in the search results. Click the corresponding Opportunity Name hyperlink. The Opportunity
Details screen is displayed.

In the Quotes panel, click
and select Copy as New Quote option for the quote that you want to
copy.
Notes:
- The Copy as New option is displayed only if there is at least one quote
associated with the opportunity.
- You can only copy one quote at a time.
- The Create Quote screen is displayed. In
the Name* box, enter a name for the quote.
- Click the Calendar icon adjacent
to the Expiration Date box to select the date by which the
quote will expire.
Note: If
you do not select a date, the expiration date of the quote will be
defaulted based on the configuration.

In the Customer panel, select the New Customer radio button, and
then depending on the Customer Type, select either the Business radio button or the
Consumer radio button.
- Click Save to create
the new quote.
