Creating extended statuses

Create extended statuses to represent lifecycle states that reflect your business processes. These statuses follow existing base statuses and provide more detailed tracking without changing the underlying workflow.

About this task

Create an extended status by defining its name and number. You can optionally define monitoring rules, data types, and milestones to control behavior and track lifecycle progression.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. From the side navigation menu, click Configuration > Application platform > Process modeling.
  3. In the process modeling area, click the required process type.
The system displays the Service definitions list in the side panel.
  4. Click the Statuses icon (Statuses icon that looks like a document with the corner folded over).
The system displays the Statuses list in the side panel.
  5. Select the status that you want to extend and click the Add icon (Add icon that looks like plus sign).
The system displays the Status window with the Monitoring rules tab open in the canvas.
  6. In the Status number field, enter a value.
Note: The combination of the base status code number and the entered extension code number cannot exceed 15 characters. If a status is already 15 characters long, it cannot be extended any further.
  7. Enter a Status name.
  8. Click Save.
