Creating extended demand types in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility

Some of the Sterling™ Order Management System demand types and your custom demand types are not modeled as demand types in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility. Therefore, when you create the extended demand types in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility for the specified list of Sterling Order Management System demand types, Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility considers the corresponding demands for availability calculations.

The following table provides a list of extended demand types that you must create in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility for the following Sterling Order Management System demand types.

For example, for a Sterling Order Management System custom demand type with the name Custom_open_order.ex and commitment level as uncommitted, you can create a new demand type in Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility with the same name Custom_open_order.ex, which extends from Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility OPEN_ORDER demand type.
