Beta releasePreview containerized developer toolkit with Java SDK 21
Because the support for Java SDK 8 will be withdrawn soon, a preview developer toolkit with Java SDK 21 is available for Sterling™ Order Management System environments. Ensure that you download the preview developer toolkit with Java SDK 21 and start testing your existing customizations. Commands for Configuration Deployment Tool (CDT) actions
The command-line interface (CLI) provides new commands to complete various Configuration Deployment Tool (CDT) actions, such as generate sample, list, download, upload, import, and export. For more information, see Commands for Configuration Deployment Tool (CDT) actions.
IBM MQ alerts
To monitor queues in your environment, you can create IBM MQ alerts in your production environments and set thresholds and conditions for the metrics that you want to monitor. When an alert is violated, you can sign up to receive email notifications. To configure any existing alert, contact your system administrator. For more information, see Creating and editing IBM MQ alerts.

Server performance profile is changed to Balanced for nonproduction environments
To maximize the number of agent and integration server instances on development and quality assurance environments, the profile is automatically set to Balanced on creation or modification of the server configuration. For more information, see Configuring servers on the next-generation platform.
Generating access tokens
You can generate access tokens to grant functional and nonfunctional users access to the Self Service command-line interface (CLI).

For more information, see Accessing tokens. A functional user is a new user type available who automates processes by using the CLI. For more information, see Creating functional users and assigning roles.

Monitoring dashboard chart widgets
Chart widgets limit the number of series that are displayed to 50. This limitation reduces the impact of the widgets on your browser.
Sorting in a chart legend is from the highest to the lowest values that are based on a series.

Next-generation platformThe reset transaction database feature in next-generation nonproduction environments truncates the transactional data from Sterling Order Management System database without the Inventory Visibility tables.
Note: Only Order Management Software transaction data and no other transaction data is considered.

Next-generation platformUsers with Developer and Organization Administrator roles can enable application logs push to Graylog on non-production environments. This feature helps to view and search the log statements generated by the customization that is deployed on the environment, without having to export logs.   • The Export Application Logs process is enhanced to improve the overall performance.
  • The application logs are now uploaded into the IBM Cloud Object Storage as multiple compressed (tar) files, that is, one tar file per server. For more information, see Export application logs.

OIDC configuration support
User with Organization Administrator and Developer Production and Non-Production roles can now configure environments with a choice of an alternative authentication provider from a list of approved providers that are compliant with OpenID Connect (OIDC). Create maintenance events for data centers
Users with Support and Operations roles can now create a maintenance event for users with an environment that belongs to the selected data center. For more information, see Creating environment upgrade and maintenance events.
Alert for long running processes
The System Implementer (SI) is now alerted about the processes that are running long. Long running processes can include customization deployments, CDT import/export, major/minor upgrades, and more. The processes that are running long are shown with a status of ‘Alert’ in the process table.
Enhanced Server configuration page
  • A new tooltip named About resource allocation is added to the Server configuration page. The tooltip provides information on resource consumption when new servers are created.
  • The colors for CPU and memory allocation bars are updated to indicate status of resource consumption.
  • Auto refresh, Server actions, and Server processes fields are moved to the table toolbar.

The System Implementer (SI) may now first see one or more banners of notifications, after logging in to Self Service. The banner displays important updates or messages.

You can now sort the certificates by columns such as creation date, expiration date, and more.

Next-generation platformExpired notification and certificates clean-up

The expired notification and certificates will be removed from the application and database after 90 days of expiration.

Next-generation platformViewing organization administrators information

You can now view the list of organization administrators of the tenant’s organization under user profile. This helps reaching out to the organization administrators directly when required.

Developers and Organization Administrator are now notified of new messages in the inbox. You can preview the unread messages in your Inbox and mark them as read. It’s recommended to use the Inbox notification feature regularly to quickly find important messages about application alerts, proactive cases opened, upcoming maintenance, and upgrade events of your environments.
