Delegating users for approving or rejecting a quote
You can delegate approving or rejecting a quote to another person. The person whom you assign as the approver of a quote is termed as a Delegate User. You can assign a delegate user either in your absence, or if you want the other person to approve or reject on your behalf. After setting up a delegate user, you can continue to approve or reject quotes, during the delegated period.
A delegate user can approve or reject a quote only during the specified time interval, as defined during delegation. Also, a delegate user can further delegate the approving or rejecting a quote to another user. However, once a delegate user further delegates approving or rejecting a quote, only the new delegate user and an original user can approve or reject a quote.
For example, a Sales Manager delegates a Deputy Sales Manager to approve or reject quotes for one month. The Deputy manager, who will not be available for the last ten days of that month, delegates a Senior Field Sales Representative to approve or reject the quotes. Now, only the Sales Manager and the Senior Field Sales Representative can approve or reject quotes, for the specified period. The Deputy Sales Manager can no longer approve or reject quotes.
