Pricing policies

Pricing domain enables the administrators to configure pricing management scenarios that must be addressed based on the overrides framework that is provided in Sterling™ Business Center.

As part of factory setup, Sterling Business Center provides the following validation IDs that are grouped based on the business use case:

Policy	Policy Description
MAX_NUM_COUPON_FOR_ITEM	This rule is addressed when the coupons are targeted against Items and have a limit on the number of coupons that can be applied to an order. If there are “Item targeted Coupons” in a transaction, then New base configuration “Maximum number of coupons for an Item” is evaluated. If number of coupons are less than or equal to the configuration, then, all the coupons are applied against the item. Else, violation would be recorded and extra coupons would not be applied. As part of recording violations, transaction gets flagged by the override rules as needing approval. Violations are reviewed by an authorized user and are approved or rejected.
COUPON_ITEM_CONDITION	This rule is addressed when the quantity condition for a coupon is not met.
PRICING_COUPON_MIN_PURCHASE	This rule is addressed when coupon minimum purchase amount condition is not satisfied. If minimum purchase condition is not satisfied, for the provided coupon, override rules are evaluated.
PRICING_MAX_NUM_COUPON_FOR_ORDER	This rule is addressed when the number of coupons are greater than the number configured against the above rule, then the override framework is called to evaluate exceptions.
PRICING_NO_ITEM_MATCH	This rule is addressed when the supplied coupon is configured for an item or set of items and the order does not have any item from coupon definition. This rule is also used for coupons that are defined for item attributes/categories.
PRICING_CPN_GRACE_PERIOD	This rule is addressed, when the supplied coupon is expired or not yet effective, and it might require a manager override for the coupon to be evaluated against the order.
