Adding receiving reasons

You can add receiving reasons that would be used by store associates while receiving shipments.


  1. Navigate to the Receiving Reason window. To navigate to the Receiving Reason window, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as an Enterprise Administrator. The Business Center home page opens.
    2. From the Organization menu, select the organization for which you want to apply the rules.
    3. Click System Setup. The System Setup home page opens.
    4. Expand the Receiving menu, and click Receiving Reasons. The Receiving Reason window opens.
  2. Click Add to add a new receiving reason. The New Value window opens.
  3. In the Value field, enter the receiving reason.
  4. In the Short Description field, enter the short description of the receiving reason.
  5. In the Description field, enter the detailed description of the receiving reason.
  6. Click Save. The receiving reason is added.
