Moving items between quote lines and recommended lines

A quote can contain both quote line items and recommended line items. Recommended items are items that a Field Sales Representative recommends to a customer with the list of items a customer has requested. Recommended items are not calculated when the quote's profit margin and the quote total are calculated.

Solution

A user can move a quote line item as a recommended line item. A user can also move a recommended line item as a quote line item. For example, a customer interested in purchasing an LCD television may decide to purchase a television stand that has been included as a recommended line item in the quote. In such a scenario, a user can move the television stand as a quote line item. You can configure the line type to be used for recommended items. The changeOrder API is called to save the changes after the item is moved as a quote line or a recommended line.
