Copying a quote to create a new quote and new opportunity for a customer

A Field Sales Representative may sometimes want to copy a quote that is associated with an opportunity to create a new quote and a new opportunity.

For example, a Field Sales Representative may want to use the product information and payment terms of an existing quote for a different quote and opportunity.

Solution

A user can copy a quote that is associated with an opportunity to create a new quote and opportunity. The copyOrder API is called to create the new quote and opportunity. When the new quote is created, all the attributes defined in the Copy Order template for the quote fulfillment process type in the Applications Manager are copied to the new quote from the original quote.
