Including special requests in a quote
A customer may request that a special feature or function be added to an item in a quote.
For example, a customer may request that a forklift be enhanced to have the capability of lifting 1,200 pounds instead of 1,000 pounds. Such special requests must be evaluated before they can be sent for approval. In the case of the forklift, for example, an engineer will have to verify and approve the requested forklift configuration.
Special requests can be handled through pipeline extensions, and implemented by setting a condition in the Quote Fulfillment pipeline to determine if the line item is a special request.
