Approving or rejecting firewall policy requests

An Organization Administrator can approve or reject the request, based on the organization policies. If an Organization Administrator creates a new request, another user with the Organization Administrator role can approve or reject the request. Once the Organization Administrator approves the policy, it takes a few minutes to take effect. You can use the Statuses tab to determine whether or not the latest policy is applied.

Procedure

To approve or reject a firewall policy request, complete the following steps.

  1. Access Self Service with your IBMid.
  2. Click the Self Service menu, and then click Firewall policies.
  3. Under the Requests tab, select the requests.
  4. To approve the selected requests, click Approve, and then click Approve in the confirmation message.
  5. To reject the selected requests, click Deny. In the confirmation page, enter the business justification, and then click Deny.
  6. To view the status of the applied policy, go to the Statuses tab.
    • If the Latest policy applied is true, the firewall policy is applied successfully, and you can test the connection for that policy.
    • If the Latest policy applied is false, the firewall policy is not applied yet, and can take a few minutes to take effect.
    • You can refresh the page to know the statuses of the latest policies that are applied.
