After an opportunity is created, you can create a quote for the opportunity. You can then
define the products and pricing adjustments, and the shipment and payment terms for the
quote.
About this task
When a
quote is created for an existing opportunity, the customer who is assigned to the opportunity is
automatically assigned to the quote.
Note: By default, the first quote created for an opportunity
is marked as the primary quote.
To create
a quote for an opportunity:

Log in to Sterling™ Field Sales.

From the application sidebar menu, click Opportunities.

The Opportunities home page is displayed. Expand the Search
Criteria panel and enter the appropriate search criteria.

Click Search. The search results display opportunities matching the
search criteria.
- If only one opportunity matches the search criteria, the Opportunity Details
screen is displayed.
- If multiple opportunities match the search criteria, the list of opportunities is
displayed in the search results. Click the corresponding Opportunity Name hyperlink. The Opportunity
Details screen is displayed.

In the Quotes panel, click New.
Note: The New button is displayed only if there are no quotes
associated with the opportunity.
- The Enter Quote Name dialog box is displayed.
In the Quote Name* box, enter a name for the quote.
The quote is created for the opportunity and the Quote
Details screen pertaining to the newly created quote is displayed.
Note: * indicates that the field is mandatory.
