What's deprecated
Attention: The deprecation of IBM Dojo Extension Toolkit (IDX) and AngularJS-based
IBM Sterling
Store Engagement (Legacy) was announced on 30 September 2022. Support for the deprecated
Dojo Extension Toolkit (IDX) and AngularJS-based IBM Sterling Store Engagement (Legacy) solution ends 30

Check out the components or features that are deprecated in IBM® Sterling Order Management.
The following components or features are still available in the product but there is no plan to
do any new development for it. A deprecation statement is provided to inform you that IBM is
considering removal or replacement of the functionality in a future release.
- Application Console
The following components or features are removed and not available. Where applicable, a new
replacement option is provided.
- The log4j-1.2.17.jar is not supported from the 22.1 minor update 1 release. You must instead use log4j2 for logging. For more information, see Migrating to log4j2 and Customizing log4j2 configuration.
- File-based developer toolkit is not supported from the 22.1 release of Sterling Order Management. You must instead use the containerized developer toolkit that you can download from the Self Service tool.
- Order alert thresholds in Order Hub. Order Hub now provides the capabilities to create Order and Shipment alert rules. The enhanced order monitor and shipment monitor are used to trigger alerts based on the defined alert rules. You can set the interval for evaluating events, which can be set to trigger alerts in real time. For more information, see Managing alerts.
- Node alert thresholds in Order Hub. Removed and not available.
- Inventory alert thresholds in Order Hub. Removed and not available.
- Store Engagement (Legacy) is deprecated. You must instead use Store Engagement (Next-generation).
- Application Console is deprecated. You must instead use Order Hub.
