Remove an attribute from a category

You can remove an attribute from a category if you do not want items in the category defined by this attribute.

About this task

To remove an attribute from a category:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Catalog Management Screen. To navigate to the Catalog Management screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an Item Administrator.
    2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
    3. From the Products home page, click Manage Catalogs in the Catalog dashlet.
    4. The Catalog List screen is displayed. Click the Catalog ID hyperlink corresponding to the catalog for whose category you want to assign an item.

      The Catalog Management screen is displayed.

  2. From the Catalog Hierarchy tree, select the category from which you want to remove an attribute.
  3. In the Related Tasks panel, click Manage Attributes Assignment.
  4. The Attributes panel is displayed. Select the check box adjacent the attribute you want to remove from the category.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. A message asking you for confirmation is displayed. Click Yes to remove the attribute.

    The selected attribute is removed from the category.
