Modify the sequence of categories and child categories

You can modify the sequence of categories and child categories to group them logically. The sequence of the categories and child categories determines the sequence in which the items are displayed in the organization's web site.

1. Navigate to the Catalog List screen. To navigate to the Catalog List screen, perform the following steps:
   1. Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an Item Administrator.
   2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
   3. From the Products home page, click Manage Catalogs in the Catalog dashlet.

      The Catalog List screen is displayed.

2. In the Catalog List screen, perform any one of the following steps:
   • In the Master Catalog panel, click the Master Catalog hyperlink.
   • In the Catalogs panel, click the required Catalog hyperlink.
   • In the Related Tasks panel, click either Browse Maintenance Catalog or Browse Selling Catalog.
3. The Catalog Management screen is displayed. In the tree of the Catalog Hierarchy panel, perform the following tasks:
   • Select the category or child categories whose sequence you want to change and either click the Move Up icon to move it one position above the current position in the tree view, or click the Move Down icon to move it one position below the current position in the tree view. These icons enable you to move the category or child category only one position above or below within the same catalog.
   • Select the category or child category and drag it to the position at which you want to place it. The position of the selected category or child category is modified.

     The sequence of category and child category is modified.

     Note: You cannot move a child category between different parent categories.
