You can delete an existing service that is no longer required. However, you can delete a
service only if it is in Held status.
About this task
Note: Before you delete a service, you must consider the
fact that the service may be used in existing transaction data for
inventory, orders, ship advises, returns, distribution rules, or price
sets. Also, depending on your configuration, external systems may
also be referencing this service.
You can
delete a service from the Primary Information screen.
To delete a service:
Procedure
- Navigate to the Primary
Information screen. To navigate to the Primary Information screen,
perform the following steps:

Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an Item
Administrator.
- The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
- From the Products home page,
click Find Service in the Catalog dashlet.
- In the Service Search screen, click Search to
view a list of all the available services. Alternatively, use either
the Basic Search or the Advanced Search option to narrow
down the list of services displayed.
- In the Services panel that is displayed, click the Service
ID hyperlink.
The Primary Information
screen is displayed.
- The services details is displayed in the
Primary Information screen. Click Delete.
Note: The Delete button is
enabled only if you have the user privileges to delete a service.
- A message asking you for confirmation is
displayed. Click Yes to delete the service.
The service is deleted, and the list of services
is updated.
