Create a seller entitlement rule

Seller entitlement rules are created to include or exclude items in the categories that can be assigned to organizations under seller entitlements. Categories from the master catalog can only be specified under seller entitlement rules.

About this task

Note: Ensure that the seller entitlement of a ship-together Bundle item is the same for both the parent and component items in the bundle.

You can create a seller entitlement rule from the Seller Entitlement rule.

To create a seller entitlement rule:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Seller Entitlement Search screen. To navigate to the Seller Entitlement Search screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling™ Business Center as an Item Administrator.
    2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Products tab.
    3. From the Products home page, click Find Entitlements in the Storefront Management dashlet.

      The Seller Entitlement Search screen is displayed.

  2. Enter the search criteria, click Search to view a list of all the available entitlements. Alternatively, use either the Basic Search or the Advanced Search option to narrow down the list of entitlements displayed.
  3. The search results are displayed in the Entitlement panel. Click the Entitlement ID hyperlink corresponding to the entitlement for which you want to manage a rule. Alternatively, double-click the row containing the Entitlement ID for which you want to create a rule.
  4. The Entitlement Detail panel is displayed. Click the Items tab.

    Select either of the following options:

    • A list of all items present in the catalog: Select this radio button to create the rule including all the items in the corresponding catalog.
    • An empty list of items: Select this radio button to create the rule excluding all the items in the corresponding catalog.
    Inclusions and Exclusions

    Perform the following:

    • Enter a Sequence* number for the rule. Ensure that you specify a unique sequence for the rules.
    • Select either of the following Action* options:

- Include: Select this radio button to include the items in the entitlement.

- Exclude: Select this radio button to exclude the items in the entitlement.
    • Select a Category*. To select a category, click The Search icon to search for a category to which the items will be associated. The Category Selection tree panel is displayed. Select the required category and click Select. The selected category is displayed in the box.

      To add another rule, click the Add icon. In th new row define the Sequence*, Action*, and Category*.

    Note: * indicates that the field is mandatory.
  5. In the Seller Entitlement screen, click Save.

    A rule or list of rules is created.
