- Change capacity conversion factor
- You can change the capacity conversion factor for a node or node type, when the capacity unit of measure is set to RELEASE in the Sterling™ Order Management System. For more information, see Changing the capacity conversion factor .
- Create transfer rules

- Other audit properties for Sterling Inventory Visibility

- Fulfillment options for Sterling Intelligent Promising

- Adding custom actions and custom tabs to the Order Hub order details page
- Use the new instructions for how to add custom actions and custom tabs to the Order Hub order details page by using the differential customization approach. For more information, see Adding custom actions to existing pages and Adding custom tabs to existing pages.
- Creating safety stock rules
- Order Hub has a new rules-based method for managing safety stock. As a fulfillment manager, you can create, edit, delete, or duplicate a safety stock rule. For more information, see Safety stock rules.

View the invoice details tab in Order Hub by clicking an invoice number on the Invoices tab. For more information, see Invoice details tab.
You can check for existing customizations by viewing which modules are modified in your tenant. If you have customized pages or routes in your tenant, those pages will not be updated when new software versions are released. For more information, see Checking for existing customizations.
When you save the order, order line details, and order release details, you can now provide the reason for modification in the modification reason modal. For more information, see Order Details tab and Inbound order Details tab.
If you are not part of a specific user group that is configured for the hold type, then you cannot add or manage the hold type. For more information, see Placing orders on hold.

When you are saving the order and order line details, you can now provide the reason for modification in the modification reason modal. For more information, see Searching for outbound orders and Searching for inbound orders.
The inventory search page now includes new fields such as item characteristic and include zero inventory items to help streamline your inventory search result efficiently. For more information, see Searching inventory availability.
You can now search for inventory demand audits in the audit search page and configure the audit search fields to narrow your audit search results. For more information, see Searching audit inventory

- Provide more order details by using the Advanced editor
option.
- Search for business customers by using a new Organization name search field within the Customer information > Advanced search window.
- For Orders: Change custom dates at the order, line, or release level. For more information, see Dates tab.
- For Shipments: Add or remove additional dates at the shipment level. For more information, see Shipment dates tab.
The OMS User ID column displays the User ID (defined in Application Manager) that is associated with the user's Order Hub login. If the OMS User ID is not correct, then the user will not be able to see any menu items in Order Hub. Administrators can clear the column and resolve the issue immediately without needing to contact IBM support. For more information, see User does not see menu items in Order Hub.
The menu was reorganized to provide a consistent experience across all IBM Sterling products and services that are available in Order Hub.
Use the save search option in the inventory search page to save the search criteria for future use. After you save, you can reload the saved criteria by clicking the saved search option at the top of the page. For more information, see Searching inventory availability.

The Node details page and Node metrics page now displays Shortage metrics. A shortage occurs when you do not have enough inventory to fulfill the order line quantity. For more information, see Node details: Shortages and Shipment metrics.

Place a shipment on hold if you need someone to review before the shipment progresses through the shipment pipeline. For example, you need someone to verify the destination address. You can add holds from the Holds tab of the shipment record. For more information, see Holds tab.
Add custom buttons to allow users to take action on a row in a table. For example, a fulfillment specialist can use the Outbound order search page to find all orders that are back ordered. You can create a custom action to send an email to a manager with the information from the selected rows in the table. For more information, see toolbarActions and overflowMenuActions.

Schedule appointments to complete service work orders such as installations or deliveries for oversized furniture. For more information, see Adding an appointment.
If you customized Order Hub with your own pages or actions, you can control which user groups can access the customizations. For more information, see Creating resource permissions for custom pages and actions.

Service capacity refers to the capacity of a node to fulfill delivery service and provided service requests. You can modify the standard capacity or override the capacity to adapt to changing business demands. For more information, see Searching for service capacity.
Add service tools to a work order to track service tool inventory or to remind the technician to bring the necessary equipment. For more information, see Adding service tools to a work order.
- View all previous, current, and future effective date ranges.
- Create date ranges and apply the standard capacity to the new dates.
- Distinct and separate Standard capacity and Override capacity views to clearly display the different configurations.
Use relative date ranges (such as Last 7 days) or specific dates to search for orders, shipments, alerts or exceptions. For more information, see Searching for outbound orders, Searching for outbound shipments, Searching for alerts, or Searching for exceptions or exception groups
New request details page provides the ability to add lines to a specific request or view all important details of a request. For example view appointment time, charges and taxes, and additional options that were added to the request. For more information, see Request Details tab.
Work order and appointment actions are now available on both the Search results page and on the Work order details page. With the added visibility, the actions are available whenever needed to quickly complete your tasks. For more information, see Modifying work orders.
Manage the work order appointment lifecycle with the new Cancel appointment, Record appointment completion, and Record appointment failure actions. For more information, see Modifying work orders.

Introducing Utilization rate graphs and KPIs for you to quickly analyze node performance based on capacity. Utilization rate provides the percentage of units or releases that were fulfilled when compared to the capacity available for the node. Utilization rates are available on various pages. For more information, see the Workspace details, Node details page, and Node metrics page.
In May 2021, IBM released the workspaces, metrics, KPI, and alert improvements for your lower environments (DEV/QA). You can now enable the new improvements on your higher environments (Preproduction/Production) with Sterling Order Management System Version 21.2 Minor Update 2. For more information about how to enable the new improvements, see Contact your administrator to enable this feature.

Previously in order and shipment search forms, you were allowed to search across one document type at a time. For example, search for outbound sales orders only. Now, you can search across all documents by leaving the Document type field blank. If you customized existing Order Hub pages to display additional data, you can now format the data. For example, format the data to show currency or date. Use the Formatter property in your customization JSON file. For more information, see Adding summary fields to existing detail pages and Adding columns and actions to existing tables
Quickly search for and view all existing work orders for provided or delivery services. You can view the scheduled appointments or cancel a work order as needed. For more information, see Searching for work orders.
Previously, after you reassigned a pending order release or shipment, the associated items were set as Backordered and the original node would not be assigned any new orders that included the backordered items. Now, you can reassign pending order releases or shipments without backordering the associated items and allow the node to continue to accept new orders. For more information, see the new option: Do not apply backorder.
Previously, you had to search through orders in either draft status or non-draft status separately. You can now choose to search across both draft and non-draft orders together in a single query. For more information, see Confirming or holding draft orders.
Use the time horizon calender field to search for inventory. For more information, see Searching inventory availability.
Manually create sales orders, purchase orders, or transfer orders. For example, you might need to create a sales order for someone over the phone or create a transfer order to transfer items from a regional distribution center. For more information, see Creating an order.
Manually create blind returns for customers who do not have a receipt or any information about the original order. For more information, see Creating a return (without receipt).
Introducing expired inventory data on the inventory pages. Expired inventory counts are now available on the search results table and also in the form of a bar chart on the details page. Expired inventory data is available only for Inventory Visibility users. For more information, see Viewing SKU details.
Home is the new default landing page when you log in to Order Hub. The Home page provides quick access to alerts and your saved searches. For more information, see Home.
Define custom alert rules to notify you when the fulfillment process is running behind schedule and presents a risk to the timely fulfillment of an order. For more information, see Managing alerts. Alert rules replaces Alert thresholds that was previously available in the user interface.
Search for and act on alerts that are generated by the system. For example, you can assign alerts to a queue, or assign to a user, or manually close an alert. For more information, see Searching for alerts.
Use the time horizon calender field to search for inventory. For more information, see Searching inventory availability.
View the supply, demand, future supply, available inventory, and shortage with various date breakdowns based on the selected time horizon. For more information, see Viewing SKU details.
The Order details page and Shipment details page now include an Active alerts tab that displays all active alerts that were triggered for that particular order or shipment. For more information, see Active alerts tab for orders and Active alerts tab for shipments.
On the Orders search and Shipments search pages, you can now search across all enterprises by clearing the Enterprise drop-down menu. Previously, you were only able to search on one enterprise at a time. For more information, see Searching for orders or Searching for shipments.
Create returns for orders that have returnable items. For more information, see Creating a return (with receipt).
Reject orders that are on hold so that the order does not move on to the next step of the order pipeline. For more information, see Rejecting order holds.
Resubmit a rejected order hold for validation. For more information, see Resubmitting a rejected order.
Create receipts when receiving inbound shipments from purchase orders or transfer orders. For more information, see Creating a report/record receipt.
IBM extended customization capabilities to support adding drop down menus within the Summary sections. For more information, see Adding summary fields to existing detail pages.
Copy an existing outbound order when a customer wants to place a similar order. For more information, see Copying an order.
Confirm shipments that require manual confirmation. For more information, see Confirming shipments.
Add or remove carrier special services for orders or shipments where you are allowed to modify the service. For more information, see Managing special services.
IBM added new data fields that be enabled throughout the user interface. A tenant administrator can configure whether to display the fields. This configuration applies to all users. For more information, see Configuring settings.
A developer can add more fields to the Data fields page to give the tenant administrator control over more fields. For more information, see Adding fields to the Data fields configuration page.
To better align with the expanding capabilities of the next-generation user interface, IBM has changed the name of the "Business User Controls" user interface to "Order Hub".
The Shipment search page include a Search by option where you can search by different criteria groups. By default, you are limited to searching against one of the criteria groups at a time. You can now create a custom group to include any criteria that you want. For more information, see Configuring Search-by options.
Define sourcing and scheduling rules for product items, delivery services, and provided services. For more information, see Managing fulfillment.
Use the Sourcing tester to understand how sourcing rules affect the path that an order takes through your system. Based on the criteria that you provide, the tester applies different sourcing rules to the order and displays simulated delivery dates. For more information, see Using the Sourcing tester.
By default, the Summary section of details pages displays a predefined set of data. You can customize the Summary sections to retrieve more information from Sterling Order Management System API for display within Order Hub. For more information, see Adding summary fields to existing detail pages.
