For Order alert rules and Shipment alert
rules to trigger and display alerts in Order Hub, you need to enable an
Order monitor and a Shipment monitor.
System administrators with access to Applications Manager and Self Service can configure and enable the
monitors. If the monitors are not running, a message is displayed in Order Hub on the
Alert rules page.
Order and shipment alerts will not be triggered because the order and shipment monitors
are not enabled. Contact your administrator to enable the monitors.

Log in to Applications Manager and select .

In Application Platform (DEFAULT), right-click Process
Modeling and select Details.

If an order monitor does not exist, create an order monitor.

In the Process Types swimlane, right-click Order
Fulfillment and select Model Process.

Click the Transactions tab from the Order
Fulfillment left panel.

Right-click Transactions > Enhanced Order Monitor and select
Details.

Click the Time triggered tab.
In Agent Criteria Definitions, Sterling™ Order Management System provides a
sample definition (ORDER_MONITOR_EX) that you can use as a starting point for creating a monitor.

Select ORDER_MONITOR_EX and then click Save as to
create a monitor from the sample.

Update the Criteria ID and Runtime Properties as needed.
- Ensure that you choose an appropriate Agent server or create another server.
Do not use DefaultAgent.
- Ensure that you select the Schedule Trigger Message checkbox and specify
a Schedule Trigger Message Interval. This interval determines how often the
system checks for alerts.

Click Save.

If a shipment monitor does not exist, create a shipment monitor.

In the Process Types swimlane, right-click Outbound
Shipment and select Model Process.

Click the Transactions tab from the Outbound
Shipment left panel.

Right-click Transactions > Shipment Monitor and select
Details.

Click the Time triggered tab.

Note: It might take up to two hours for the Alert rules page in Order Hub to stop showing a message that a monitor is not enabled.
