Pricing rule exclusions
Exclusions can be used in a pricing rule in cases where it is easier to specify an exception to than specify a long list of items that are included.
You can exclude an item, an item attribute, or a category of items from a pricing rule.
For example, consider the following promotions and exclusions:
- "All regular price Brand A Electronics on sale. Exclude Brand A earphones."
- "Save up to 20% off regularly priced major appliances, except for Brands D and E."
- "Sale on Brand G appliances, excluding glass-top ranges."
Exclusions may be global or limited by price list:
- When global exclusions are defined at the Pricing Organization level, excluded items are removed from all promotions.
- When a pricing rule excludes a price list, the pricing rule does not apply to that price list.
